The German Rosa Loy (Zwickau, 1958) is one of the few authors belonging to the so-called New School in Leipzig, who since the mid-1980s have claimed the validity of painting and figurative language.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>From the beginning of his career, the theme of the feminine is a constant in his work. Women represented in different facets are the protagonists of their paintings: dreamers, explorers, guardians, seducers, mysterious, protective, sleepers. All of them in symbolic settings that are closely related to surrealism. A powerful blend between the world of dreams, imagination and folklore, while exploring deeply personal themes.<\/span><\/p>\n
